Fatal shooting at Valley County campground

CASCADE, Idaho (KBOI) — A man is dead after being shot at the French Creek Campground early Friday morning.

Valley County Sheriff's deputies, Cascade Rural Fire and EMA responded to a shooting at campground space #21 shortly after 1:30 a.m.

They found 45-year -old William Brasuell of San Diego, California dead at the scene.

Christopher Humes was detained at the scene and later taken to the Valley County Sheriff’s Office for further detention. He was later arrested and booked into the Valley County Jail for Aggravated Battery with a firearm.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing and an autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
