First responders plan parade and salute to medical workers in Caldwell

CALDWELL , Idaho (CBS2) - City police, county deputies, paramedics and firefighters will honor West Valley Medical Center staff Thursday for their commitment to the Caldwell community.

Members of the Caldwell Police Department, Caldwell Fire Department, Canyon County Paramedics and the Canyon County Sheriff's Office have organized a parade to honor and thank the medical center staff for their commitment to the Caldwell community.

The parade and salute will take place Thursday, May 7th at 11 am at West Valley Medical Center, located at 1717 Arlington Ave. in Caldwell.

Members from Caldwell and Canyon County public safety agencies plan to drive their vehicles into the West Valley Medical Center parking lot in front of the main entrance of the hospital.

Plans for the salute include a bagpipe song, speeches, balloon release and more.

This week is also National Nurses' Week, so the agencies thought it was a good time to honor West Valley staff.
