To get Chitin, the first thing to do is to find Hard-Shelled Bugs like Sawyer Beetles or Cockroaches, which have strong shells. Visit the Forests, Graylands, and Beach area in the South-West region of the game, where you will find Cockroaches and Beetles.

Search the trees to find Beetles, as they tend to fly, and you can search the ground area to find Cockroaches in those locations.

Kill the Bugs

After encountering Beetles or Cockroaches, get close to them and beat them with your weapon, such as a wooden weapon and finally kill it.
