Stephen Curry is one ring away from reaching Kobe Bryants level in GOAT list, says Jeff Teague

Not many basketball fans can forget the reach of the late Kobe Bryant‘s influence on the NBA. The “Black Mamba” as he’s affectionately called, left a lasting impact on both the Los Angeles Lakers and the game during his playing days. Bryant is also widely regarded as among the greatest of all time (GOAT) in pro basketball. However, Stephen Curry has been touted to soon reach his level if one more championship is won.

The Golden State Warriors guard is fresh off winning a gold medal with Team USA on the world stage in Paris. Given the positives surrounding Curry at this moment, former NBA star Jeff Teague has predicted him to get into the GOAT list soon.

He's already best point guard ever. Top five player of all time? With five rings, he's gonna be in that mix if he gets another ring. He gets another ring, he's definitely up there with Kobe, you know.
Jeff Teague said on the Club 520 Podcast recently

According to Teague, there’s no doubt that Stephen Curry is already the best player in his position in the league. Furthermore, he asserts that should the 36-year-old win another NBA championship soon, then the legendary Kobe Bryant and him will be in the same class. The way Teague sees it, Curry only needs another ring to legitimize his claim as one of the basketball greats.

The late Los Angeles Lakers legend, Bryant, is remembered as a player who made a huge mark on the game. Bryant won 5 NBA championships, was named to the NBA All-Star team fifteen times, and was an 18-time All-Star throughout the course of his career. With Curry grabbing the headlines for impressive performances at the Olympic Games lately, he is now predicted to sit on the GOAT list with Bryant soon.

Stephen Curry wants to play only for Warriors in NBA

Ever since he was drafted by the Golden State Warriors in the 2009 NBA Draft, the 36-year-old has played all his career with the team. Curry has stated that he intends to see out the rest of his playing days at the Warriors.

I've always said I want to be a Warrior for life. At this stage in my career, I feel like that's possible. And you can still be competitive, it doesn't mean you guaranteed the championship. I'm taking it one step at a time to be honest. I think that's the only way that will protect my happiness.
In a recent interview with Andscape’s Marc Spears, Stephen Curry said

Curry continues to be one of the standout performers in the league and is widely considered as among the best shooting guards ever. Notwithstanding, his contributions to Team USA on the world stage also reinforce that view among basketball fans.
